Awaiting Oblivion

Description:

You are always surrounded by the traces of your own presence in the world. Presence is the outward manifestation of our lives; it is the possibility of our being taking shape as part of others’ lived worlds. Our presence cannot be experienced directly by ourselves. It can only be perceived through the reactions of others and through the marks this presence leaves on the world.

A person cannot be remembered without a sense of their presence and the manner in which they were present, whereas objects merely evoke a collection of details.

He is positioned among other objects, like a body on a chair, beneath a window.
He exists within the room both as part of the installation and as something distinct from it; his presence flows within my imagination of him.

Theater Performance at Hamoon Festival:

In the inaugural edition of the Hamoon Festival, a unique theater performance took the stage, a nominee in multiple categories. Ghazal Tavakoli played in this theatre which was directed by Shahriar Solati.
